Radio Feature Earns Accolades
BETHESDA, MD ¨C Dec. 2, 2008 ¨C The Car Care Council has earned two top awards from North American Precis Syndicate, Inc. (NAPS) for its consumer radio feature entitled ¡°Going Green.¡± The popular story generated an extraordinarily high volume of placements by America¡¯s radio broadcasters. In addition, ¡°Going Green¡± received a Certificate of Excellence for superior achievement in media relations.
¡°Americans have become very conscious of the environment these days, looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint. This award shows that the media is very receptive to the ¡®going green¡¯ information from the Car Care Council and knows it is a winning story with their audiences,¡± said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council.
The ¡°Going Green¡± radio story had 702 placements with 23 percent in the leading 50 media markets. The story ranks in the top one percent of all radio features distributed to the media by NAPS. By comparison, radio features typically generate, on average, 300 to 400 placements, with 400 rarely being reached. |
